June 3, 2016

The Secretariat General of Dubai Economic Council (DEC) organized recently a staff gathering celebrating the “5th Annual Excellence” under the theme ‘Continual dedication; limitless excellence’ on the deck of Bateaux Dubai.

His Excellency Hani Al Hamli, Secretary General, and Sheikha Muna Al Moalla, Chief Operating Officer, Strategic Planning & Operations attended the celebration with the DEC staff.

In his welcome speech, Al Hamli said that the Annual Excellence Celebration is an important day in the Council’s calendar, where the outstanding employees who have contributed significantly to the progress and success of the Council are acknowledged and awarded. “It is the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai that inspired all of us to be in the first place”, Al Hamli said.

Sheikha Muna Al Moalla stated that DEC has achieved several critical projects and initiatives in terms of its mandates as a policy-oriented think tank of the Government of Dubai. “The annual gathering aims to strengthen the relations between the senior management and all staff including those new comers irrespective their titles as all of them are assets for the DEC”, Al Moalla stressed.

To cope with the phenomenal progress that Dubai and UAE witnessed over the last years, we have introduced this year new awards for the staff, such as “The Best Innovation”, “The Best Delivered Project of the Year”, “The Best Researcher of the Year”, “Promising Employee of the Year”, “Professional Achievement Award”, among others”, Sheikha Muna concluded.

Awards have been also given to some staff who have recently obtained higher degrees, such as PhD and masters.

Aside of the celebration, group photos were taken to capture the memorable moment of the staff gathering with their senior management. The celebration included different activities for the DEC staff before inviting them for lunch.
