DEC celebrates Flag Day

The DEC Secretariat General celebrated in the occasion of ‘Flag Day’. H.E. Hani Al Hamli, DEC Secretary-General stated that ‘Flag’ as a symbol represents several aspects. “In addition to the ‘homeland’, the Flag embodies the unity and solidarity between the people and the leadership”. He also demonstrated the major economic achievements the UAE witnessed over the last years under the directives of H.H. Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and his brother H.H. Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.  

“Among the dramatic developments incurred in Dubai/ UAE economy is the new strategy of innovation advocated by the leadership to turn the country into one of the most innovative economy in the world”, Mr. Hani added.  

The Secretary-General said that UAE today is among the 20 world’s most competitive economies, ranked 16th globally the 1st in Arab world. 
 
Mr. Hani concluded that the UAE was the first country in the region that adopts the strategy of diversification aiming at sustaining the economic growth under a changing business environment. 

Shaikha Muna A. Al Moalla, Chief Operating Officer, Strategic Planning & Strategy called all staff to embrace the spirit of optimism and to be positive. She said that the ultimate aim behind the success stories that Dubai and UAE achieved in economic arena is the ‘citizen’s happiness’.  

Shaikha Muna also encouraged all staff to double their efforts and to be more creative and innovative to contribute significantly to the development march of Dubai and the UAE.
